Mirtos is a small-scaled place.

Coming to Mirtos on holiday means you'll be staying in an attractive and hospitable village by the sea. Everything wihtin easy reach and all very Cretan.

The local people like holiday visitors coming, but they just carry on doing there own thing. This makes Mirtos unique.

There are no noisy discos, but you will hear Greek music being played here and there, in bars and restaurants. Mirtos has about ten restaurants, two supermarkets, a butcher's and a bakery.

In the last couple of years a few new shops have appeared, including our own shop, Aladin, wich sell things from different countries, for example, pottery, lanterns, lamps and rugs.
