Tertsa.

Tertsa is a tiny village on the very sunny south eastern coast of Crete. About 70 people live in the green valley in which the village sits.

This valley is absolutely UNIQUE. The climate is sub-tropical, so that even bananas grow outdoors here. And they are delicious, too.

Tertsa has several wonderful beaches, where you have a great feeling of space. On one of these beaches they turn a blind eye to nude sunbathing.
In the village there are a couple of restaurants, some kafenions and a minimarket. But there is no baker or butcher nearby. For daily shopping you need to travel the 5 kilometres to MIRTOS.

Tertsa is friendly. During the day the beaches and the Lambros restaurant are meeting places. People from Tertsa, but also visitors from Mirtos, meet under the high trees of this terrace next to the beach.

You can just have a drink or eat delicious, fresh food where the ingredients are literally straight out of the back garden.

This means that during the high season it can get very busy during the day. In the evenings you may hear some music being played here and there. But mostly you can just enjoy this very special place in peace.
